NORTH EAST ROUTE        SA CALOBRA

NORTH EAST ROUTE
SA CALOBRA

Leaving the calm harbor of Port de Sóller behind, we head northeast along one of Mallorca’s most spectacular stretches of coastline. This route is a feast for the senses—steep limestone cliffs plunging into deep blue waters, sea caves carved by centuries of waves, and the untamed beauty of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As we cruise along, you’ll pass secluded coves and dramatic rock formations, with opportunities to stop for a swim in hidden turquoise bays only accessible by boat.

The highlight of this route is Sa Calobra, Mallorca’s most iconic spots and unforgettable destination. Famous for its narrow, winding road from land, it’s even more breathtaking when approached by sea. Nestled between towering cliffs, the tiny cove opens into the entrance of the Torrent de Pareis, a canyon that winds deep into the mountains. It’s a place that feels both ancient and otherworldly.

We can drop anchor nearby so you can swim, snorkel, or even go ashore to explore the canyon’s mouth. Depending on your booking, we can also arrange time for a relaxed onboard picnic or tapas lunch with wine.

CALA TUENT

Tucked away between steep cliffs and pine-covered slopes, Cala Tuent is one of Mallorca’s most peaceful and unspoiled coves—often missed by the crowds heading to nearby Sa Calobra. Accessible by sea or via a winding mountain road, arriving by boat is by far the most magical way to experience this hidden gem.

The cove is a natural amphitheater, where the Tramuntana mountains seem to rise right out of the sea. The crystal-clear waters shimmer in shades of turquoise and deep blue, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply floating in silence. Because there are no large developments or beach clubs here, the vibe is pure, tranquil, and timeless—just nature, sea, and sky.

Cala Tuent is ideal for those seeking a more authentic and serene experience—a place to unwind, unplug, and reconnect with the rhythm of the sea.

CALA DEIA

Approaching Cala Deià by sea is like stepping into a postcard. Tucked between dramatic cliffs and rocky outcrops, this small, pebbly cove is one of Mallorca’s most charming and photogenic spots. Its clear, turquoise waters invite you in for a refreshing swim or a bit of snorkeling among the rocks, where marine life hides in quiet corners.

The cove remains wonderfully unspoiled—no loungers, no music, just the sound of the sea meeting stone. Perched above the cove, a couple of rustic seaside restaurants serve fresh seafood with stunning views, including the famous Ca’s Patró March, a favorite for long, lazy lunches right by the water (reservation recommended).

Due to its limited access by land, Cala Deià often feels like a secret spot—especially when approached from the sea. It's ideal for a tranquil stop, a refreshing dip, and soaking in the raw, natural beauty of Mallorca’s west coast.

SA FORADADA

With its unmistakable silhouette and famous hole through the rock, Sa Foradada is one of the most iconic sights on Mallorca’s west coast. Jutting dramatically into the sea from the cliffs below Son Marroig, this rugged peninsula is even more captivating when seen from the water.

The name Foradada means “pierced” in Mallorquín, referring to the large natural hole carved through the headland by centuries of wind and waves. As you approach by boat, you’ll get the best view of this natural wonder—something that’s impossible to fully appreciate from land.

The waters around Sa Foradada are calm and clear, perfect for a scenic swim or snorkeling session with the epic cliffscape as your backdrop. It’s also a stunning place to pause for photos or enjoy tapas and a chilled drink onboard.

Sunset here is especially magical. The light filters through the rock’s opening, casting golden reflections on the sea—making it a top choice for romantic evening cruises.

Whether you stop here briefly or make it the highlight of your route, Sa Foradada offers a moment of awe and serenity that perfectly captures the wild beauty of Mallorca’s coastline.

CALA VALLDEMOSSA

CALA VALLDEMOSSA

Nestled at the base of the Tramuntana mountains, Cala Valldemossa—also referred to as Port de Valldemossa—is a hidden gem on Mallorca's northwest coast. This quaint, semi-circular cove is renowned for its unspoiled beauty and tranquil ambiance, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a peaceful escape.

The cove features a small, pebbly beach approximately 90 meters in length and 15 meters wide, bordered by crystal-clear turquoise waters that invite swimming and snorkeling. The surrounding rugged cliffs and lush greenery provide a stunning backdrop, enhancing the secluded feel of this coastal haven. Nearby, the small port area hosts a charming seaside restaurant, Es Port, where guests can savor fresh seafood dishes while enjoying panoramic views of the Mediterranean.

Whether anchoring for a leisurely swim, exploring the underwater world, or indulging in local cuisine, Cala Valldemossa promises a memorable experience that captures the essence of Mallorca's coastal allure.
